- Once you and your person are done you are REQUIRED to do the following:
- 1) Sit down with the person who's website you reviewed and point out one thing they could change or add to make their website better (or to help them meet the requirements) and one thing you liked that they did.
- 2) While waiting for a peer review to come back to you - make changes to your website as needed, then organize and practice for your presentation. Check over your website AGAIN that you have met all requirements (See Weebly Final Project Website Requirements page in your Google Drive).
- Pretend you are a brand new student, interested in joining a club and know nothing about your club besides the web address. Would you, as a new student, have any clue what the website is about or how to find information about the club or what it does?? Make changes to make this very obvious!
- Once you have your peer review form back - make changes as per the suggestions! If someone tells you a change (example: word spelled wrong) and you do not change it, you will lose double points.

Spend 10 minutes practicing, get as many lessons done today as you can while doing your best to not look down at the keys. Did you know 8th graders are suppose to be able to type 40 WPM with 90% accuracy, without looking? Can you do this? (Use this time to practice!) No typing games, Typing Club only for the first 10 minutes today.

- Activity #1: Time to look at your resource websites and redo your wire frame model. Your ideas were good, but lets make them better.
- Step 1: Go to Google Drive and open your "Reference Websites" document
- Take some time (20-30 minutes) looking at the HOME page for every website. Take notes on what they have included (buttons, pictures, navigation, call to action, links...) and where they are located on each home page.
- Choose which parts of each page you like and want to include on your home page.
- Step 2: On a NEW sheet of paper, re-draw your wireframe for your HOME page. Include the best ideas from all reference websites.
- Put a word on top of each box so I know what it is.
- Step 3: Staple your new wireframe drawing to the one that was due at the start of class (take it back out of the box if you need to) and turn in to the in box on the back desk by end of class TODAY.

Focus for the week: Website development Phase 2: Planning and 3: Design
Success Criteria #1: Complete and submit the Google Drawings Site map for Phase two of Website Design.
Success Criteria #2: Complete and submit a hand drawing of wire frame for home page of your site.
Success Criteria #3: Be able to speak to and describe the power of color in the design of website.
MONDAY 1-7-19
Warm Up: What are your thoughts about the Giga Society website? Click the link, check out the website, then after today's date in Journal #2, write about a couple of elements (we learned about 10 essential elements before the break) you noticed and discuss how they are used well or poorly on this website and how it impacts your impression of the website. While you wait for others to finish, click around on this site: What else do you notice about it?

Can you think of any tabs they could use that they forgot? What do you think of the layout and use of images? What is your impression of this club, just by looking at this page? Turn in Journal #2 on Google Classroom after today's warm up entry.

MONDAY 12-17-18
Warm Up: CREATE A NEW JOURNAL: T2 #2 DM Journal. In your new journal, tell how many lessons you complete today on Typing Club (Sign in with Google) and how fast you are typing, how many WPM. Spend 10 minutes practicing, get as many lessons done today as you can while doing your best to not look down at the keys. Did you know 8th graders are suppose to be able to type 40 WPM with 90% accuracy, without looking? Can you do this? (Use this time to practice!) No typing games, Typing Club only for the first 10 minutes today.

- To sign in: click the link, then "Sign in with Google", then follow along with the tutorial to start your "practice" project.
- Individually, watch a tutorial for Powtoon on Google Classroom and recreate exactly what she does on her screen. This is a practice project, you will create exactly what she creates an do exactly what she does to get to know/re-know how the program works and where tools are.
- Pause the video every 30 seconds to 1 minute and copy everything that is done in the video in your own practice Powtoon.
- Your goal: make it to the 4 minute mark in the video. (Have your practice project done up to that point too)

- We will complete this project together tomorrow. Do your best to watch and re-create the first 4 minutes of the video!

Success Criteria #3: Decide on a club idea for my website design project and find example websites to help me with ideas.

Warm Up: Together we will watch the Key Features (there is no sound) video. In your Journal #1 discuss how it was similar to or different from what you started to learn so far about (10 essential elements) in the Website - Essential Elements assignment. Include one or two similarities or differences you notice.

- Activity #1: Double check that you have this page book marked & get rid of other old bookmarks for this website.
- Activity #2: Continue working with your partner on the Essential Elements assignment.
- Goal: Complete Part 3 - Website examples & turn in.

Focus for the week: Show understanding of blending images in Photoshop.
Success Criteria #1: I can complete tutorials demonstrating understanding of blending to preserve pixels and combine images in Photoshop.
Success Criteria #2: I can complete the Practice-Learn and the Show-You-Know portions of Assignment #4 in Photoshop demonstrating my ability to use multiple tools to blend separate images seamlessly into one final image.

Warm Up: Start a new Journal: T2 DM #1 Journal. What is Photoshop? Imagine you are describing the program to a new student. Look online if you need help with what to say, but use your own words to explain in your new journal.
